Arthouse Film Festival is moving! After 25 years at AMC Mountainside, the festival will unspool for ten weeks, beginning September 19th at The Village at SOPAC located in the South Orange Performing Arts Center.

NJ Tae Kwon Do Chung Do Kwan, located at 114 Valley Street is accepting new students ages 5.5 and up, for beginners classes. Anyone who is interested is welcome to come and try a free class. We are open to ALL members of the community.

South Orange Downtown (SODT) is seeking an artist(s) to create and install a sculpture at the Village Plaza triangle, located at the corner of Valley Street and Village Plaza. As part of a larger revitalization initiative of the triangle, this sculpture will be a focal piece at the entry point into the downtown district and complement the adjacent murals.

Downtown After Sundown returns to South Orange with Free live music every Saturday from 6:30-8:30pm starting May 28 in Spiotta Park. It's a fun, casual environment to sit back, relax and enjoy the sweet sounds of South Orange Downtown in the warm weather with fellow friends and neighbors.

South Orange Downtown is excited to announce the return of the Farmers Market for the 2022 season. The market will begin Wednesday June 1st with lots of new vendors. It will continue every Wednesday from 2PM-7PM, rain or shine until October 26th in the Sloan Street Parking Lot.

South Orange Downtown unanimously elected Cat Fisher as the new chair for the organization. Cat assumed the position from Deb Engel, who was elected in December 2020 and served as the first female chair for the organization.
