SOPL - MOVING SALE
The South Orange Public Library will host a community-wide Moving Sale
Friday, January 19 through Sunday, January 21, from 10am-4pm at 65 Scotland Road
Aimed at raising funds for its eagerly awaited renovation project, the event is open to everyone, and promises not only a chance to contribute to an important community improvement initiative, but an exclusive opportunity to preview the library's visionary building plans. The Moving Sale will feature an extensive array of items, now available as a result of SOPL’s downsizing efforts. Items include: furniture, office supplies, captivating artworks, countless books spanning both adult and children's genres, toys, games, crafts, and an assortment of other treasures – including a piano and a large fish tank (fish included!). There's something for every taste and need. Electronic payments and cash will be accepted.
Proceeds from the Moving Sale will be dedicated to the library's renovation efforts, the Building Connections Project, which will enhance and modernize the space and expand its offerings to better serve the community's evolving needs. It's not just a chance to find great deals, but also an opportunity to directly support the enrichment of a beloved community icon. Tours of the library's future plans, including a sneak peek of architectural renderings and updates, will be offered at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm each day of the sale.
