The Village at SOPAC Presents: Independent World Cinema

Special offer for friends of Downtown South Orange: Print out or present this notice for 50% off admission to the debut of the Independent World Cinema series this Sunday, April 21, 2:30 pm at the Village Theater at SOPAC. “The Eight Mountains,” which won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, will be screened. The reduced rate admission will be only $10.
The series, will be curated by local filmmaker Gerard Amsellem, founder of the non-profit film club La Cinémathèque.

“We want to present the best contemporary independent and foreign films," Amsellem says, "and create a community where film lovers can see these movies on a local big screen and talk about them."

This is the first film in our Independent World Cinema series. Please support our vision by becoming a member and sending a check to:  New Waves Productions, 60 Ridgeway Avenue, West Orange, NJ 07052. Membership fees is for three films: Adults $60, Seniors $50, Students $30 

By purchasing the film series in South Orange you become a member and support La Cinematheque. No individual seats are sold during a film series. Although we can’t sell individual tickets, you can bring a guest to one of our films so they can experience our organization, free of charge.  Let's bring as many people as possible to come and make this series a great success!
