Join us in Spiotta Park for a summer of live music every Saturday night from June 6 through September 5, from 6:30 to 8:30PM. Enjoy a rotating mix of musical styles, great local talent, and a welcoming small town atmosphere. Bring a chair, gather with friends, and make the most of your Saturday evening. Pick up takeout or treats from local restaurants and enjoy them in the park while soaking in the sounds of summer.

This week featuring: LAREDO

Three Maplewood and South Orange residents have been making music for over 20 years as part of Walk the Dog and, more recently, as Laredo.  

Laredo has performed at local restaurants and outdoor venues in Summit, South Orange, and Cranford, and, of course, a few times at Maplewoodstock, including a pinch-hit role when a band cancelled due to COVID.  One day’s notice is not a problem for a band that knows over 100 tunes.  Gary Shippy, drummer, is a co-founder of Maplewoodstock.

Laredo has some originals, but love to play covers from Dylan to Dawes and Croce to Carlile. They are often joined by guests from the local music scene and stock a few percussion instruments so young children can join the band at outdoor performances.
