Farmers Market 2024 Vendor Registration

The market begins on Wednesday June 5th and will continue every Wednesday from 2PM-7PM, rain or shine until Oct 30th in the Sloan Street Parking Lot in the heart of South Orange Downtown.

Please read through all the vendor information below and fill out vendor application form if you are interested in becoming a vendor. We do accept vendor applications throughout the season, but can’t guarantee a spot. Please note many dates may already be full.

This registration form and paperwork submission does NOT guarantee you acceptance to the market. Final approval will be given by South Orange Downtown

To become a food and beverage vendor for this market you will need to be approved by the SOMA Board of Health and South Orange Downtown.

Vendor Information:

REGISTRATION FEE: $50.00 (non-refundable) ALL VENDORS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THIS FEE. You will be prompted to pay this after you fill out the registration form.

*MARKET FEES: $30 (non-refundable) per market *A minimum of 5 markets is required

SETUP REQUIREMENTS: Vendors are responsible for all setup materials needed including a 10x10 tent, table(s), tablecloths, wifi, power, POS, promotional materials, etc.

*Please note: This form does not guarantee you a vendor spot at the Farmers Market. If your application is accepted you will receive a follow up email to discuss the next steps needed to complete your application.

PAPERWORK REQUIRED

Once you’ve been notified by South Orange Downtown that your market dates have been approved, you’ll need to submit the list of paperwork required for the Health Department to officially become a vendor. You will also have to pass an on-site inspection from the Health Inspector on the day of your first market appearance. All vendors will be required to provide the following documents upon acceptance into the market. Please submit all documents to Lisa Szulewski (Events & Marketing Coordinator) at lisa@southorangedowntown.org NOT to the Health Department.

Food Vendors:

The South Orange Downtown Farmers Market works together with the South Orange Board of Health to ensure the safety of the patrons of the market and are required to follow all local health codes related to food safety. Please submit all forms to lisa@southorangedowntown.org

Important Notes

We have limited space for food trucks at the market, but if you are accepted as a food truck vendor, you will need top submit for a permit from the fire department as well as an on site inspection for each market you attend.
Once you’ve been notified that you’re an approved vendor for this season’s market, payment must be received in full for all of your selected dates. We will not be accepting payment plans or delayed payments.
